154 Exhibition Opens

The 154 Exhibition Launch event at the weekend was a great success. It was wonderful to see so many people visit the Cooper Gallery and explore our exhibition. Thanks to everyone who came along to support us - the atmosphere was superb. Thanks also to Giuliano Modarelli and Nick Lewis for providing the live music.

As promised the 154 Exhibition offers a fresh gallery experience, inviting you to look up, get down on your knees, listen, watch and even contribute through drawing and writing. Following the theme of Journey's, I am currently working on a number of images that I recently captured during a Road Trip to Newham. Here are a few images from Upton Park Station at Newham. Each images was captured on my iPhone and has been processed entirely on my iPad.

Barnsley to Newham

My head is still spinning from the excitement of our recent road trip from Barnsley to Newham. It was a whirlwind couple of days stacked with lots of photography, filmmaking, drawing, writing, walking, talking, looking,  exploring, thinking, sharing....and driving!! We set off with bags full of ideas and have come back with even more! The scale of the project has suddenly presented itself and whilst being quite daunting it is fantastic to be part of such an exciting, challenging and inspirational project. I took literally hundreds of pictures during the road trip including our start and end point - the Town Halls in each location.

I am so excited to be part of the 154 Collective that I have eagerly begun capturing images throughout Barnsley Town Centre. Over the next few months I will be producing photographic and film based work to form part of the 154 Collective Exhibition starting in June 2012 - very exciting!!
