154 Exhibition Launch Day - Workshops

The 154 Exhibition Launch Day kicked off with a fantastic workshop led by Jonathan Grauel (USA) and Benjamin Rabe (Germany). Together they walked a group of children from Birdwell Primary School and St Helen's Primary School through the Exhibition and used it as a starting point for collaborative drawings. Children were drawing with traditional art materials and were also painting on iPads. There was a wonderful buzz and excitement amongst the children which spread through the gallery. Making Art In Barnsley

Fabric Lenny, Lou Sumray and Yvonne Roberts have been busy making art in Barnsley today. Each have focused on a different artform and together have produced timelapse sequences, digital images and observational sketches, along with making plans and sharing ideas for works in development. Mini Canvasses

Fabric Lenny ordered 154 mini canvasses today to include in the 154 Collective Exhibition at the Cooper Gallery this summer. Here he is framing one up as part of a timelapse sequence in Barnsley Town Centre. There are also plans to animate an army of mini canvasses through Barnsley so be on the look out...!!
